Rooted Heart Doula Services
Thank you for considering me as your doula! Journeying into parenthood is a unique, transformative, and life-changing experience for each person. I believe there is no “right” way to go through this rite of passage and my primary goal is to support your needs throughout the process. I am a compassionate, nurturing, and knowledgeable birth and postpartum doula who is passionate about helping birthing parents, and their support team, to envision and create an empowering birth experience. I bring a trauma-informed, non-judgmental, anti-racist, and equity-centered approach to all of my birth and postpartum work. I hold my clients as experts in their own needs and desires, and strive to provide emotional, physical, and advocacy support during every stage of the birthing and postpartum process.
Building a relationship of trust with clients is at the center of my priorities. Although I am happy to support clients of all kinds of all backgrounds; because of my personal identities, and professional background, I specialize in supporting:
LGBTQIA+ Parents and Families
Single Parents
Teen & Young Parents
Multiracial Families
People planning for out of hospital deliveries
People who live within an hour of Seattle, WA
I recognize that choosing a doula can be a vulnerable and intimate decision. If you think I may be the right fit for you, please set up a complimentary interview with me to discuss possibilities and gather more information about my practice.
Compassionate Support for your Birth Experience
I received my doula training from Bastyr University’s Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations and I am currently pursing certification with Donna International. I have assisted with several births and been of support to many babies, parents, and families throughout my life. Prior to becoming a doula, I worked for 25+ years as a nonprofit founder, director and consultant in organizations that provide services at the intersection of gender and racial justice.
