Thank you for considering me as your doula! Journeying into parenthood is a unique, transformative, and life-changing experience for each person. I believe there is no “right” way to go through this rite of passage and my primary goal is to support your needs throughout the process. I am a compassionate, nurturing, and knowledgeable birth and postpartum doula who is passionate about helping birthing parents, and their support team, to envision and create an empowering birth experience. I bring a trauma-informed, non-judgmental, anti-racist, and equity-centered approach to all of my birth and postpartum work. I hold my clients as experts in their own needs and desires, and strive to provide emotional, physical, and advocacy support during every stage of the birthing and postpartum process.

Compassionate Support for your Birth Experience
Professional Background:
I received my doula training from Bastyr University’s Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations and I am currently pursing certification with Dona International. I have assisted with several births and been of support to many babies, parents, and families throughout my life. Prior to becoming a doula, I worked for 25+ years as a nonprofit founder, director and consultant in organizations that provide services at the intersection of gender and racial justice.
After an initial complementary interview, if you and I agree to work together, I will tailor my services to meet your unique needs. A typical birth doula package includes:
1 meet and greet informational interview
1 in-depth in-person prenatal visit at your home to get to know you and your support team, and get familiarized with your hopes, needs, fears, etc. for labor and birth
1 optional follow up prenatal visit to address questions, work on your birth plan, practice labor positions, etc.
Availability for frequent text, phone and zoom communication both pre and post birth to discuss questions and concerns
On-Call and available for labor support from 38 weeks of pregnancy until baby is born
In-person presence and nurturing support throughout your labor and birth process. I also offer photo & note taking throughout your labor and delivery to help you process your experience postpartum.
1 postpartum visit to support you and your family in the weeks after birth
1 optional follow up postpartum visit or call within the first three months after your child is born
Provision of resources, birth plan templates, and referrals for additional childbirth education, health resources, and other support services throughout the birthing process.
Birth Doula Services Package
Although I am a trained, WA State certified doula, because I am not yet Dona International certified, I am offering reduced fee & sliding-scale services. In exchange, I will request a formal evaluation and feedback on my services to submit to Dona International with my certification materials. I am committed to not turning clients away due to inability to pay, so please let me know your financial needs and I will do my best to accommodate. My typical sliding scale levels are:
Tier 1: $1500 (for lower-income folks)
Tier 2: $2500 (for middle-income folks)
Tier 3: $3500+ (for higher-income folks)
Please note that I do require a Tier 2 minimum for clients who book me for services within a month of their due date. It typically costs me over $1000 in my own supplies, gas, and childcare expenses in order to attend each birth so these levels are designed to cover my costs at minimum.
